Fearless Vet Visits
Private training for dogs who are afraid of the vet
The veterinary clinic can be a scary place for dogs.
A strange place with new people and smells. Other stressed and scared animals in the lobby. Poking and prodding during appointments. Just getting into the lobby may be a fight. Refusing to stand on the scale, hiding from the veterinarian and technicians. They may need to be muzzled for the staff’s safety.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Imagine your dog happily walking into the vet clinic and greeting the staff; willingly consenting to medical exams and procedures. Going to the vet is no longer stressful for you or your dog, in fact, it’s something your dog looks forward to!
Make easy vet visits your reality!
Fearless Vet Visits are open to canines of all ages across Northeast Ohio. The goal is to help dogs who are already fearful of the vet and prevent fear of the vet in puppies and dogs who are new to you.
Training sessions take place in a veterinary clinic to help your dog learn it’s not a scary place. Your dog will have opportunities to interact with the clinic, staff and medical equipment in a stress-free environment. Training sessions are carefully scheduled during the clinic’s quietest time of the week to minimize stressors.
Every dog will have a training program designed specifically for them. Each training session will include handouts to continue training on your own. Be sure to bring a bag of your dog’s favorite treats and notify Raising Pawtential if your dog has any dietary restrictions.
Fearless Vet Visits are open to clients of all veterinary clinics. Raising Pawtential is grateful to New Leaf Veterinary Clinic for providing a location to help all dogs.
